THAW is a concept interaction system that allows large and small displays to work together, shifting subject to and fro with ease. A smartphone can act as a second display and physical interface that cooperates with your computer screen. The demonstration below seems to focus primarily on a gaming aspect, however the continuity and ease of movement shown is impressive.

 

Imagine if this technology could be applied to image manipulation and editing? The position tracking is done by the backward facing camera and seems to interact seamlessly with the larger display. Thrown together by Tangible Media Group and Fluid Interfaces Group, I think there is huge potential for this type of interface amongst the endless supply of screens in today’s work places.
