The Boston transport system is taking its route selection realtime. The new Boston transport initiative Bridj aims to take in to account current traffic conditions and formulate fresh, efficient routes for their travellers. The service is comprised of a suite of luxury shuttles with free WiFi that determine stops via data points and it’s users origin. Popular destinations are compiled to create a more streamlined, private commute.
The Bridj transport system is constantly learning and changing as more users enter it, meaning it will be totally dynamic in nature. As more users enter more destinations, the routes will change and more shuttles will be introduced to meet those needs. Direct routes are a promised feature of the Boston buses, yet as more users enter and destinations differ this could prove difficult.
Do you think this is the future of mass transportation?
