One of the world’s most popular crowd-funding platforms, Kickstarter has announced it will launch on Australian shores November 13 of this year, closely following the Canadian launch which was held on September 9. Australian residents can start piecing together projects now, they just won’t be able to launch until the selected date.

The company did have plans to launch the site across Australia and New Zealand this past August. The official AUS version of the site was updated yesterday to reflect the new launch date. Kickstarter will be in Australia over the next few weeks hosting self-branded schools, seeking the interest of australian based creators to attended and share their ideas. People are also invited to attend to learn more about how the platform works. Classes will be held across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
