Artist Pierre David has created a thought-provoking piece of work using the iconic Pantone colour guide fan as inspiration. Titled The Human Pantone, the piece showcases and celebrates ‘the beauty in various hues of human skin tones’.

The work was commissioned for the Museum of Modern Art in Brazil. As a result he used those who worked at the museum or studied its Fine Arts program as his models.

The resulting color chart from the 40 photographs is an array of shades of human skin tones, ranging from pale to dark– all at once highlighting diversity and celebrating the unique characteristics that define an individual.
