Nikon pays tribute to the incredible art of photomicrography & the beauty of life under the microscope, with the Nikon International Small World Competition.
Small World began exhibiting Photomicrography back in 1974 and is now regarded as the front running  forum for the art form – significant to both science and art worlds alike.  On the art form; A photomicrograph is a technical document that can be of great significance to science or industry. But a good photomicrograph is also an image whose structure, color, composition, and content is an object of beauty, open to several levels of comprehension and appreciation.
Nikon’s Small World is taking submissions internationally from professional photographers through to hobbyists, on film or digital – the only stipulation is it must be taken down the microscope.
