A reader puts in a request for honest plain english.
I am in the process of travelling from Sydney to Perth of a business trip. Majority of my time has been spent reading business mags and newspaper.
In reading the long list of earnings announcements, I’d like to make a minor change . To make a translation of a sentence I read a number of times . Wherever it now says:
“we were affected by the global financial crisis and adverse foreign exchange”.
It should actually read:
“we just f#@ked up”.
I’d also like to replace:
“we are refocusing on our core markets” with
“we had our eye totally off the ball and lost a sh#@load of market share”.
