Dont be afraid to tell the world your plan. The truth is, risk attracts resistance. Most entrepreneurs, innovators and leaders face resistance. It is never going to change.
In fact, the more and more you create, the more and more you challenge normal, the more you will be met with resistance. This can be related to anything. You brand, your strategy, your web site, your new business, your growing family, your move to the city. Your career choices. Whatever it is, mediocrity will come knocking and join forces to try and stop you. They will love your mistakes, they will eagerly await you stumbling, they wont stop.
This is what makes it so rewarding. Think about this seriously for a moment. Would you really want it any other way? Without resistance, its unlikely to be a journey worth taking.
Suzanne, a good family friend has recently started a clothing business for children. Simple, beautiful, well priced and made with love and passion. Her goals are simple and clear, her ambition for the future is simple and clear. Be it large or small, risk is risk, vision however is rare and with it in time will come mediocre people creating resistance. The persistence is a small part of what will make Suzanne’s children’s brand remarkable.
Persist against the resistance. It feels really good.
