  5. Anon says:

I am at a conference on Gold Coast and the person organising it started the conference by talking about responsibilities etc to the environment and all that stuff (which is very important). She went on to point out that this year they have recycled tote bags and made the conference program double as a notepad and research paper … save on paper, great work!

However about 80% of the attendees are from Sydney and most of the rest from Melbourne … we all flew up there, & caught cabs everywhere (individually or in pairs) … both ends of the trip and in between.

My point – if we were serious about the environment we would have held the conference in Sydney … !!

My frustration – (not so much about the environment as I am all for been on the gold coast) … but my frustration is about missing the big picture … focusing on the detail when Rome is burning.

    Cheers
Anon (u hav my email so email me)

  6. Jay says:

Yes. Pick me too. We are in need of more than a strategy. Email on the way.

  7. Mel Berry says:

Yes this sounds like fun. We do a lot of work for business and need to start to build some structure and strategy around the how. Pick me pick me.

  8. The AntMan says:

Um awkward first post. Will email you.

  9. Trays 11 says:

We are constantly battling with our industry in terms of change, whilst I wont go into too much detail right now. We would welcome the chance to create a forum to discuss how we can “innovate” our strategy.

I hope my post alone is enough to warrant some worthy interest in us.

    Thank you.
    Terry.

I would love a one-on-one consultation with you! I’m new to blogging and my blog is hosted on blogger.com (getphysicalnow.blogspot.com). It’s more of a personal/training/mystuff blog but would like to tie more into my fitness education business.
Questions – can I track traffic, links, bookmarking, other metrics using blogger .com or do I need something more sophisticated?
    Gwen

  11. Ben says:

Jon, my biggest frustration is lack of a community. I used to be better at stimulating discussion but I became frustrated at the lack of participation and slacked on the “community focus” and now I’m not sure where to start to build it back up again.

Thanks for taking the time to help us out!

  12. Jon says:

What a generous offer, Jon! I am a portrait artist, but I want to attract portrait painting BUYERS, not other painters.

So, I guess my biggest blog-prob is focus and content. So far my blog has been a this-is-what-I’m-painting-now thing. Some painters have said they appreciate the technique tips, but other than a few readers (mostly friends and family) I don’t know if anyone is out there. So, that’s another pressing blog-prob: finding the eyeballs. Thanks for any help you can provide, Jon!

  13. Jason 99 says:

One of my clients asked me yesterday … “how’s the blog thing working out for you? Are you getting any new customers?” I embarrassingly said no but I’m building my brand as a local marketing expert. Truthfully, I don’t even know if my blog is doing that. I don’t see comments from readers. I’m getting page loads according to statcounter but I’m wondering if I am really making a difference. Be interested to see this improve.

  14. I find the industry in which I work which is consulting to be old fashioned and stale. We want our agency to change this. Looking forward to hearing more.

  15. We are very interested in talking more with Brand Lab. We are launching a new brand shortly as an extension to our existing core brands around nutritional water and vitamin based supplement drinks.

The industry can be to open to try “new” versus trying safe. This is an interesting anomaly versus most industries.

    Hope to speak soon.

    Paul Franklin.

Hi we run an agency out of Dubai. We are a collection of marketers who create a community of thought and strategy for the local business network. This includes brands, retail and technology based business. The main problem with our industry is “innovative idea’s”. We are seeing amazing growth but we need to start to work on innovative strategies to see us becoming more advanced.

We would welcome a session with Brand Lab and your network to discuss ways in which we can innovate.

    Thank you
    Simon: in Dubai.

Hi Ben, this is a great. I have been white spaces since June and enjoying it a lot. I run a wholesale business in western Sydney and we are at a stage where the market (which has recently become very conservative) is now looking to expand. We want to ensure we are at the front to capitalize on the opportunities.

We have a team of 26 across a stable of 9 brands. We need some help with our social media comms strategy and need to start to innovate our approach.

Being a loyal subscriber, do I get a copy of the ebook?

Hi uncluttered. We run a small consultancy business in Brisbane and we have been recently stuck working with the same clients and not progressing into new markets.. We need to spend some time engaging our customers however we have been receiving feedback that our site and brand communication needs some work. I received this on twitter from a friend so thought I would quickly drop you an email to enter.

    Thanks (new subscriber:)). Bel

Hi UWS. I am in the 2nd year of blogging and trying to grow channels to create revenue. I am getting good readership but very reliant on click through. Need some help to create a strategy to monetize my site. Hope to hear from you shortly. We write about food and in particular chefs. Nice prize.
